Route 14A Corridor Study

The Route 14A Corridor Study has yet to be completed. The Study is guided by a Steering Committee that includes representatives from the Towns of Barrington, Benton, Milo, and Starkey; the Villages of Penn Yan and Dundee; and Yates County. The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC) serves in an advisory capacity to the Steering Committee providing technical assistance and acting as the contract administrator to lessen associated costs for the County......The consultant conducting the Study is currently developing potential alternatives for review by the Steering Committee and an additional public forum will be held in the near future to gain community input on the alternatives and aid the Steering Committee in selecting those alternatives that will ultimately comprise the recommendations of the Study.However, the Study is not meant to replace or supersede local land use decision making.

Why does it take the consultant two years to develop the review material?
